Charity Tournament – 6th July, Microsoft Reactor, London

After some Twitter back-and-forth recently about classic games, some of my team and I came up with the idea of playing a little tournament with Unreal Tournament (GOTY Edition). Like all good ideas, this quickly escalated into a way to raise a bit of money for charity whilst having fun.

The tournament is open to Microsoft employees and Microsoft Partners, and to take part we recommend teams make a donation of Β£30. We have spaces for 16 teams (max of 48 people). If you’re interested to join us you’ll need to do four simple things:

  1. Register on the events page. This lets us, and more importantly, the building security people, know you’re coming!
  2. Register your team and sign up for the tournament on Challonge. This is the service we’ll use to track who’s playing who, who’s won and lost, etc.
  3. Make your donation to Make-A-Wish UK through our JustGiving page.
  4. Dig out, or buy, a copy of Unreal Tournament GOTY edition to play.

These steps, along with all the important information about the running of the event are in this handy Word document (the document is regularly updated, so bookmark rather than print at this point!):

I am fully expecting to go out in the first round, but it should be a fun afternoon nonetheless. See you there!
